The Articulating Ruggedized Night Vision Goggle

The ARNVG, or Articulating Ruggedized Night Vision Goggle, is an exceptionally durable binocular night vision device designed for rugged conditions. Crafted from billet machined aircraft grade aluminum, it boasts superior ruggedness and durability, surpassing MIL-STD-810H drop testing standards. The device features an onboard illuminator and can accommodate a battery pack.

Operating the ARNVG is user-friendly, with push button switches for power and the Infrared Illuminator. The IR illuminator button is safeguarded by a distinctively contoured fence to prevent accidental activation. Indicators in the viewing area notify the user about the status of the IR illuminator and battery levels.

The optical pods of the ARNVG are adjustable along the bridge, allowing users to customize inter-pupillary distance and stow the goggles. When helmet-mounted and in the stowed position, the optical pods can be folded flat against the helmet, reducing neck strain and providing protection against overhead impacts. The pods automatically switch off when articulated up, preventing illumination on the helmet. Users can adjust the force needed to swing the optical pods with a flat coin or brass.

Aside from its exceptional durability, the ARNVG offers flexible power options. It can be powered by the onboard CR123 battery or a lemo port compatible battery pack. This flexibility allows users to maintain the rugged dovetail mounting system while using an external battery pack.
